Wickham Park Shuffleboard Club

Our courts are located at the Wickham Park Senior Center in beautiful Wickham Park. The club is a member of the Florida Shuffleboard Association Inc. and belong to the Northern League of the Central East Coast District. (CECD) of which Paul Massey is currently serving as President.

The Wickham Park Shuffleboard Club has 50+ members and the dues are $17 per year. You also need to be a member of the Wickham Park Senior Center to participate.

There are 12 courts and this year we have three squads consisting of 2 player teams in competition. They are the Gold, Blue, and White Squads. Practices are held on Mondays at 1 P.M. and games are played on Wednesdays at 1P.M.

Fun Time is played on Saturday mornings at 9 am. There are all levels of players from beginners to the Master levels. We welcome all seniors to come and learn the game and enjoy the fun and friendship.

Schedule

This past week at the Amateur Any Doubles Tournament held at Spanish Lakes #1, Chuck Jordan (Wickham Park) and Larry Zopes (Vista Royal) came in 1st in the Main and Tom and Jane Plumpton (Wickham Park) came in 3rd in the Main. Jane Plumpton accumulated enough points to advance to State Amateur as of October 2012.

This week, Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, Wickham Park White team will be playing Tropical Haven White and the Wickham Park Gold team will be playing Whispering Palms. Both games are at home and play starts at 1 P.M. Wickham Park Blue team has a bye this week.

Club meeting and election of officers will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012, at 12 noon. All members are urged to attend.

Practice for league play is on Mondays at 1 P.M. and fun time is on Saturdays at 9 A.M.
